Turkey is a popular destination with South Africans. A big contributing factor to this beautiful countries popularity could be that visas are free for South African Passport holders. However, the Turkish Embassy has recently confirmed that travellers must now apply for visas online https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/. While visitors to the country will still be able to receive help with applying for visas at points of entry, they are discouraged from arriving in Turkey without having applied beforehand.
